About Us

Affectionately known as FAC, our chapter was chartered on March 16, 1991, and became the 828th chapter in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. There were 34 charter members who were not only active in Delta, but excelled as leaders in their professional and community lives. The chapter now boasts of over 45 financial members.

FAC is as diverse in interests as the communities we serve. Our boundaries span the 210 Freeway, covering the communities located in the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys. The sorors of Foothill are committed to a hands-on approach to serving the community. During the 100th year anniversary of Delta Sigma Theta, FAC was recognized both nationally and regionally for its work with the Delta GEMS and EMBODI youth programs.

The total population of the San Gabriel Valley in the 2000 Census was 1,510,378 people, of which 1,425,596 were living in the 30 incorporated cities. Estimates for the 2010 census put the population at over 2 million. Of those residents our target audience in our service areas is represented below:
