Foothill Alumnae Chapter is a
chapter of the international organization Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. We
serve the foothill area of the Los Angeles basin with a membership
of 50 college graduate women.
We
welcome you to peruse our web site for information on the many
programs we provide for the communities youth and adults within the
foothill area.

Greetings:
It
gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of
the Foothill Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Members of the sorority’s 828th chapter have diligently planned a
calendar of community service programs and projects to reflect the
legacy of the 22 visionary Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Inc. As college educated women committed to scholarship and public
service, mindful that we are an integral part of an organization
founded upon Christian principles; we strive to uphold the ideals
of Delta as we interface with all members of the community. We
strongly believe in the sentiment that we are our
brother’s/sister’s keeper, and focus on helping others in any way
we can; just as our Founders did 93 years ago.
The programs/projects planned for the 2007-08 sorority year are
divided among the Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Educational
Awareness – Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, and Scholarship
Awards; Economic Development – Building Financial Fortitude,
Budgeting, and Home Buying; International Awareness & Involvement
– Providing support to Darfur and other areas of need; Physical
and Mental Health – Promoting Healthy Lifestyle/Living; and
Political Awareness (Social Action) – Increasing Community
Awareness of Political Issues, Voter Registration, and the
Importance of the Presidential Race.
We have scheduled three fund raising efforts for this sorority
year and would ask that you please support our efforts:
• Festival of the Yams, November 10, 2007
• Scholarship Games Party, February 9, 2008
• Scholarship High Tea, May 18, 2008
On behalf of the Foothill Alumnae Chapter members, I extend a warm
