Since its founding in 1913 Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization that boldly confronts the challenges of African Americans and, hence, all Americans. Over the years, a wide range of programs addressing education, health, international development, and strengthening of the African American family have evolved.

Delta Sigma Theta members embrace the opportunity to share our full range of resources to generate better economic prospects and create more broadly shared prosperity.
Delta Sigma Theta members help make a difference in the lives of our youth every day by preparing students for leadership at the school level, as well as, socially and in policy.
Delta Sigma Theta members address some of the most pressing problems facing communities around the globe such as human rights, HIV/AIDS, poverty, health, human trafficking, peace and security.
Delta Sigma Theta members respond to immediate challenges families struggle with including mental health that ranges from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Delta Sigma Theta members are devoted to catalyze social efforts in overlooked areas including gender equality, racial issues, healthcare, and voting rights, as well as, encouraging cultural competency.
